I am married to my wonderful husband and we have two beautiful daughters. I have become a mommy on a mad fitness mission. What this means is that I am on a mission to get my family started on a healthier path. I plan on doing this by focusing on the importance of fitness and healthy eating. How can I expect my daughters to eat healthy and stay active if I am not?

Play Date Snacks
My daughters and I were invited to a play date with a friend. We were going to take the kids to the pool within the housing community where she lives. She said to bring snacks and something to drink and we all could share. Normally I would have bought chips, cookies, soda or a sugary drink. Instead, I bought the items in the picture above. I bought a vegetable tray, fresh mixed fruit and water. These were a hit!
We had a great time in the pool and catching up with my friend. I know that I got my exercise in playing with the girls in the water while eating healthy. I hope to teach my girls how important healthy eating and fitness are as well as showing them how to fit it in their life!
